How to restore image on Dolphin 70e Black

This should only be done by StubWire staff or when instructed by someone at StubWire to preform this task.

  1. Download ZIP file WWE.zip by Clicking Here
  2. Extract Zip File and you should see the following three folders. You will use the folder that matches the device type. Most of ours are just the BT_WAN but we have one that is the cell version so just need to double check.
    1. BT_WLAN L0x
    2. GSM Only (SL8092) LWx
    3. GSM_CDMA (SL9090) LGx
  3. Plug scanner into your computer and on the scanner select to enable USB storage on the scanner screen
  4. You should see two new drives show up on your computer. In each drive go into the Honeywell folder and delete everything that is listed.
  5. Below are the actions to take on each drive
    1. IPSM Drive
      1. Delete the log and LOST.DIR folders but leave the honeywell folder
      2. Go into the honeywell folder and delete all the contents of the folder
      3. From the ZIP file you downloaded, extract the files and select which type you want to use (typically BT_WLAN_L0x) and then go into the SD Image directory and then into the Honeywell directory. Inside the Honeywell directory you should see an AutoInstall folder. Copy this folder into the IPSM drive’s Honeywell folder (Example: F:/honeywell/autoinstall)
    2. Removable Disk
      1. Go into the Honeywell folder and delete all contents and copy the AutoInstall folder also into this directory
      2. From the zip file that you extracted, copy the DBLACKAD_41.25.zip file into the root of the Removable Disk drive
  6. Now its time to force the update. Doing so you need to run three functions when powering on the unit. To do these commands you will reboot the device and hold both the scan button until you see the honeywell screen with “ready for hotkey” at the bottom. At that time you do the following commands
    1. Tap Search  and then Volume Up (Format IPSM)
    2. Tap Home + Volume Up (Update form SD)
    3. Tap Search + Volume Down (Factory Reset)
